Joleen Volz PA-C has practiced in dermatology since starting as a PA in 2003, first in Wilmington, North Carolina after graduating from East Carolina University, then just south of Dallas after moving to Texas in 2009. She was originally with Dr. Alan Menter's practice and is now part of US Dermatology Partners. She came to Elevate Derm after hearing "a lot of hype" about it, drawn by the agenda and a speaker list she felt you "can't go wrong" with, and she appreciated hearing colleagues speaking from the podium.
Even one day in, she pointed to Dr. Rosen as always worth seeing, but went out of her way to highlight Cyndi Trickett's spotlight session on complications in psoriasis. Volz, who does a lot of psoriasis herself, said Trickett "commands the room" as an expert, and she walked out with far more than she walked in with — the kind of tips and real-life experiences she can take home to her patients.
